  • Overview

    Responsible for handling all employee / personnel records in Oracle and responding to all inquiries submitted to the HR Employee Service Center (ESC).  Prioritize workload to ensure all transactions are completed within guidelines provided by management while always providing excellent customer service.

    Responsibilities

    • Review and process all employee new hires and updates relating to personal, job and benefit related information typically submitted through store scan network.  Includes: name changes, address changes, merit increases, transfers, lateral moves, title changes, promotions, demotions, separations, benefit enrollments, etc.
    • Review all documentation received has proper approvals and is in accordance with Company requirements/standards.
    • Follow up on missing information and coach Store Leaders on proper completion of documentation where necessary.
    • Review and respond to all HR related inquiries, using good judgement to determine next level follow up is required. Case subject matters include: general questions regarding employee files, policies and procedures, documentation requests for research, audit, outside counsel, etc.
    • Forward to the appropriate team who can provide resolution if unable to resolve as assigned.
    • Required to work as a team to provide backup for other team members to meet payroll deadlines, acquisition on-boarding, vacation schedules or times when an abundance of paperwork / cases come in that require additional support.
    • Work closely with payroll to ensure payroll issues / processing occurs timely (off cycle changes, retro pay, etc.).
    • Filing and electronic indexing of all documentation related to employees.
    • Documentation could be additional information used to process employee changes or cases where information could not be included in the system of record (new hire documentation, email approvals or additional research, etc.).
    • Effectively communicate (verbal and written) with team members, Store Leaders, Field Consultants, Market Managers, HR Business Partners and various levels of employees who reach the HR ESC at any point in time.
    • Customer service is always a priority.

    Qualifications

      • Completion of high school with two (2) college level Human Resources courses preferred.
      • Two years of directly related HR experience may be accepted in lieu of educational requirements. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Excellent customer service skills and understanding how to respond with empathy and urgency is critical.
      • Ability to work independently with little direction, handle confidential information and proven ability to work with all levels of the organization.
      • Must be able to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.
      • Intermediate skills in Microsoft office required and Oracle experience preferred.
