Overview

Develops Leadership and Store Operations learning experiences for instructor-led, self-study and eLearning delivery. Translates strategies into tactics, objectives and metrics within the training materials that provide vision, skills and knowledge application.

 

Responsibilities

    • Facilitates Leadership programs, such as Field Consultant and Market Manager Certification training, to support cultural change and leadership development at the mid and senior management levels.
    • Uses Adult Learning - schema building - experiential learning cycle to maximize discussions; adjusts delivery style to get best results in the classroom; establishes credibility and rapport with participants; understands complex cause and effect relationships; links concepts to practice.
    • Delivers program training as directed and to approved standards
    • Uses project management skills to manage phase deliveries
    • Uses approved development methodology to develop or update leadership curriculum
    • Partners with 7-University and other departments to create / modify / update program materials or processes.
    • Stays up to date on Best in Class practices
    • Manages the delivery of training as required, including providing feedback to participants and supervisors regarding actual performance of Trainees in any class conducted
    • Manages difficult discussions - appropriately exposes negative behaviors.
    • Establishes credibility and rapport with participants; understands complex cause and effect relationships; links concepts to practice. Uses these skills to ensure participants attain competency in the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver exemplary Guest Service as described in the 7-Eleven Guest Experience Fundamentals; and to maximize sales and profitability in their store.
    • Facilitates regional and market-level education events for field operations, store operators, and franchisees to support training of initiatives for incumbent populations.
    • Stays up to date on company processes and initiatives, both operations and functional areas and builds relationships with other subject matter experts to support what is delivered in class; Is compliant with all state and local laws, and all company policies; Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management.
    • Communicate participant status to Market leadership, Franchise Sales Representative, and make recommendations based on documented observations to potentially disqualify participants from program.
    • Maintain distribute, and order training materials to ensure availability when needed; ensure all training programs and materials reflect local laws, policies, and procedures.
    • Actively engage the Training Store staff and market staff to ensure all training locations meet or exceed standards according to the Training Center Scorecard, with an emphasis on infrastructure, cleanliness.
    • Partners with market and Zone Leadership to stay up to date with Zone and Market strategies and initiatives, including Market Managers, Franchise Sales Representatives, Human Resources Managers, Field Consultants, and other departments as necessary, attends NCC and Market Meetings.
    • Maintain Training Center at approved level according to Training Center Scorecard.
    • Review monthly evaluations and other reports to ensure Store meets approved standards.
    • Ensures all Training Center equipment, including multiple laptops, hot spots, and other equipment are maintained in a secure manner and kept up to date on network updates.
    • Meets objectives within unit and timelines
    • Models Servant Leadership
    • Work with Operations Training Manager to evaluate the effectiveness of training using the Kirkpatrick’s 4-Levels of Evaluation.
    • Serves as a SME for both the Field Training Team and Markets.

 

Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelors / 4 Yr Degree
    • Experience: 3-4 years, Operations experience at the FC or CBC level.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to deliver training to a wide variety of individuals
    • Previous training experience in facilitation and Instructional Design and Leadership programs.
    • Excellent computer skills.

     

    Job Requirements

    • Valid Driver’s license
    • Overnight travel
    • 40 % Travel time
